Firstly remember James had Harry very young so it wouldn't be surprising for
Lucius to be older.
Secondly the Daily Prophet lists him as 41 in OoP. Now personally I wouldn't
trust the Prophet to spell their own name right two times out of three, but
I suspect they'd rather not upset someone as rich and powerful as a Malfoy
over something as easy to check as his age.
