I tend to agree with you, for the most part, Jennifer. I have suspected for
a while that one Lily and Petunia's  grandparents were squibs. The first
squib generation may have lived a fairly wizard-type life, similar to Mrs.
Figg or Filch. The second generation (Lily's parents) likely lived a more
muggle-type life, the type of life that Petunia saw as "right" and "normal."
