Well, for one thing, she might not have really come up with the concept
of a Squib until the second book.


Here's an associated question for you, and it's one I've been thinking
about for the past couple of days:

Does a Squib have the same life span as a Wizard/Witch, a Muggle, or
somewhere in between?
