There are two places which come to mind where Harry is indicated as a 
half-blood:

"Because there are strange likenesses between us, Harry Potter.... 
Both half-bloods..." Tom Riddle to Harry (COS UK edition p.233)

"Shut your mouth!" Bellatrix shrieked, "You dare speak his name with 
your unworthy lips, you dare besmirch it with your half-blood's 
tongue..." Bellatrix to Harry OOTP UK edition p.691)

Harry is a half-blood, hence Lily is a muggle. QED.
