Talking with paints

Apparently one of the "extras" in the CoS DVD (which I did not buy) is
an explanation of the animated paintings. Apparently to make such a
painting requires a skilled painter, special paints mixed with skin
and blood of the sitter, prolonged sitting for the painting, I dunno
what all. Therefore they are very expensive in money as well as time.
It is unlikely that people so young as James and Lily and Sirius would
be patient enough to spend so long sitting for their portraits, and
that they would think it worth the money.
