Book 1: Learning to Fly

I don't know if this was every brought up, but a friend of mine 
brought this up and I don't remember reading about it (on this site).
Is there a possibility that Neville's broom was hexed when he was 
learning to fly?  There is some real similarity with the way 
Neville's broom reacted and the way Harry broom reacted during the Q 
game.  
Sounds interesting to me, but I don't know how it could be.
What do you all think?
