Maybe the reason Seaumus shows so much patriotism to Ireland is 
because he is half and half.  His dad is a muggle, mom's a witch.  
He could get the wizard patriotism from his mom's side and then the 
other from his dad's side.  His mom, even though she is a witch 
shows support for Ireland also, but maybe it is because she has been 
married to a muggle for so long that it rubbed off on her a bit.
