My thought is that the type of protection Harry has is somehow 
matriarchal in nature so a male relative isn't needed. The Dursleys 
don't seem to have any connections with Petunia's family - just 
Vernon's, so there could be a Mark Evans out there.    Or there may 
even be a Potter(!) out there that hasn't had contact with Harry 
yet. I would love to see Harry have some distant relatives that he 
finally gets to meet!
