Why DD might not want Snape for DADA job

Potioncat: 
As far as what DD will accept, even Sirius says, "...but I just can't 
see him letting Snape teach at Hogwarts if he'd ever worked for 
Voldemort." (Padfoot Returns, GoF)  He was wrong, and as much as I'd 
like to agree with Carol, I have to agree with Janet. We don't know 
what Snape's role was as a DE.  It is possible his role excluded him 
from the worst of the torture and killing and at some point he had to 
deal with the fact that it was going on.  But we'll have to wait and 
see.
