Forgive me if this has already been mentioned, I searched the post
archive regarding this subject, but I didn't find anything. Now, I
was thinking about certain holidays in the books: JKR mentions
Christmas, Easter, and Halloween. Of what significance are these
holidays in the WW? I know that Christmas and Easter are highly
regarded in some Christian sects, while some don't acknowledge
them. Halloween, according to many Christian relatives and friends,
isn't quite viewed the same way; it was/is thought more of as a
pagan holiday, or an "evil" day, preceding All Saints Day.

Hi Alia, welcome. I don't think that JKR is really making any kind of
statement regarding religion except perhaps to say that the WW is not
made up of satanic worshipers. I think JKR has these holidays in her
books because she is Christian.

I'm sure that some wizard families believe in Christ, some don't, and
some just like holidays because of the gifts.
