Mandy here:
I had noticed that too.

A couple of weeks ago I proposed the idea that Dark Wizards/Witches
hate or despised Animagi. The idea comes from Bellatrix using the
phrase 'The Animagus Black' instead of just Black or any other name
or insult. It just seems to contain a certain amount of scorn in it.
And when you look at just how much the dark purebloods hate any form
of 'mixing' blood, it seemed logical to me that they would hate any
witch/wizard who would willing turn themselves in to an animal. It
is, after all, tainting ones blood with that of another species. We
also don't have any dark witch/wizard animagus as far as I know.

LV using 'Wormtail', instead of his birth name, as he dose with all
the other DE, also seems to me to be disdainful. It references his
ability to transform in to a rat. It's insulting and derogatory and
reminds Peter of his place.
