Going off on a tangent here, but a thought just
struck me. Has anyone else noticed that LV addresses
all the DEs either by their first or last names?
Pettigrew seems to be the only exception to this rule
as Voldemort always refers to him by his nickname.
Could there be some special reason for this or is it
just coincidence?
Potioncat responded:
Haven't had time to look at this, but could the DE's in general only
know Pettigrew by Wormtail and not know he is Pettigrew? Certainly
the WW at large doesn't know about Pettigrew.
Carol:
That brings up the interview Harry gave to Rita Skeeter in OoP, which
supposedly revealed the details of what happened in the graveyard. Yet
if he had mentioned Peter Pettigrew's name, wouldn't everyone know
that Sirius was not a murderer? Yet Sirius is still a wanted man until
his death at the end of OoP. What could that article have contained,
then? It almost certainly didn't say that *Peter Pettigrew* murdered
Cedric Diggory on Voldemort's orders. AFAIK, the WW in general still
thinks Peter died a hero.
Carol, with apologies for miscrediting Tyler as Karen earlier in this
thread (posts too close together?)
