I'm not so sure. Maybe Imperio, which can be resisted by a powerful
wizard with strong will, but Crucio is a horrible thing and I don't
think aurors would use it on each other even for training. But they
probably learn how to defend against it by practicing with other
spells (say, Stupefy). I wonder whether quick reflexes and a
Protego-like spell could deflect a Crucio onto the caster?

But IMO, an Unforgiveable Curse is as dangerous to the person using it
as to the victim. Remember what happened to Crouch Sr., who authorized
the use of the Unforgiveables by his aurors and used at least one
himself on his own (DE) son. He became as coldly insensitive to human
suffering as any DE. Look at anyone we know who has successfully cast
them--Lucius, Bellatrix, LV, the Crouches, Peter Pettigrew. Is there
hope of redemption for any of these people? (If you're thinking PP,
remember that he not only betrayed the Potters and Bertha to their
deaths, he killed twelve Muggles and murdered Cedric Diggory.) He was
always weak. Now he's a cold-blooded killer. IMO anyone who
successfully casts these spells, even for training purposes, is
subject to that personality transformation. There are other ways to
train and other spells to use without resorting to the methods of the
enemy.

Carol, sho knows she's in the minority here but is certain that the
Unforgiveable Curses should not be taught for any reason
