Carol:
I'm not sure whether anyone besides Dumbledore (and possibly Snape)
knew the full contents of the Prophecy. But in any case, maybe the
Order members wanted to keep LV preoccupied with the Prophecy while
they prepared to fight the war? At least he didn't murder anyone for a
whole year (not counting Sirius, who I suppose counts as a war
casualty but not an LV murder). Book 6 will be a different matter. . . .

Carol, who thinks that LV's continued ignorance of the Prophecy will
work to Harry's advantage at some point
