As I do agree that that scene was pivotal to Harry's development, I 
believe that Harry's real maturity and development came from his 
interactions with Umbridge.  Harry stood true to his convictions 
regardless of the consequences and regardless of who he had to stand 
up to.  Through pain and injury Harry learned that he must do the 
right thing no matter the cost.  This is why I believe that Harry 
will be victorious.
