Potioncat:
In GoF when DD, MM,and SS rush in to save Harry from Crouch!Moody,
Harry is almost frightened by DD's expression. And at that point
Harry can understand why he is a feared wizard. (I wish I could
quote it, but cannot get to the books.)
While the quote Kneasy is using does indeed look like a euphemism,
I'm sure DD could come up with lots of non-unforgivable ways to make
a house-elf talk, but which he might still prefer to leave unspoken.
Potioncat: who hopes it was OK to jump into this excellent
discussion.
