shoot down my guesses or add your own. Here goes...OotP spoilers mind!

Mo: Cool Post! You said feel free to make comments, so I thought I
might add my two knuts worth. Same as you, feel free to make
comments...

> #1: Harry fails to get 'Outstanding' in his Potion's OWL, but gets
into NEWT Potions anyway thanks to a new, more understanding Potions
Master or Mistress (Tonks perhaps? She must be good at Potions seeing
as she's an Auror and all).

Mo: I think he actually WILL get a good grade on his owls. Snape is
a superb potions teacher and has taught the students well. Harry
gets poor grades because Snape doens't like him. However, Snape did
not give the OWL exam and it is mentioned that Harry could
concentrate easier during the exam because Snape was not present.

accepts that Snape won't let it "bring out the worst in him", and
pupils are v. behind anyway so they need someone highly skilled (I
always assumed he would get the job towards the end of the series
ever since we were first told he wants it, and especially since
Umbridge inspected his class).

Mo:
Possibly. I am not going to comment on this one, because I haven't
made any conclusions myself on this matter yet.

>
> #3: Harry resumes Occlumency lessons, whether with Snape or DD I'm
not sure, but it's more important than ever that Harry learns to
block LV from his mind, esp. since that vision of Sirius. Although LV
must know Harry mightn't fall for other visions again, we know it's
possible for LV to get information through Harry. *If Dumbledore does
teach Harry Occlumency, it would be a great opportunity to learn more
about DD, who we know surprisingly little about. Which brings me to
my next prediction...
>

Mo: I like your prediction on that one.

> #4: DD will be killed in the fight against LV after we've found out
more about his background. Last time we found out a lot about
someones history was with Sirius, and he was killed off <sob>. Maybe
the same will happen with DD? That would leave the Order in some
trouble for book 7!

Mo:I have thought quite a bit about DD dying. I do think he is going
to die, but I think it is going to be in book 7. I think HP needs DD
until the very end. But, then I thought that DD might make it to see
the downfall of LV and then die shortly afterwards from old age.

>
> #5: We will find out about Hogwart's staff's spouses. As JK said, a
few of them have had spouses, information which is "sort of
restricted", and I'm betting we'll discover that DD had a muggle wife
years ago but outlived her. Also, maybe Snape fell for and even
married a muggle female, but she was murdered post-Voldemort when
Deatheaters were still murdering muggles. Is this part of the story
he told DD for him to trust him.

Mo: Interesting theory about DD being married. Actually, I can't
see either of them being married, especially Snape. I think the
thing Snape did to earn DD's trust will be more significant than
that.

>
> #6: Harry discovers the average wizard's lifespan at last.

Mo: LOL! Good one!

>
> #7: Ron finally kisses Hermione!

Mo: I think that is going to take place more towards book 7.

>
> #8: Deatheaters inevitably breakout of Azkaban and rejoin LV.
Lucius Malfoy leads a wave of muggle torture and murder, the
beginnings of which Harry hears about on the news at Privet Drive
before the new school year (I'm sure I read somewhere JK said muggles
would notice more happenings in the next book).

Mo:Again, I agree with you on that.

>
> #9: This is the last straw for Fudge, and he resigns as MoM before
he's sacked for not acknowledging LV's return in the first place.
He's surprised when DD refuses to take the job as MoM, but he can't
leave Hogwarts as Voldemort would jump at the chance to control the
school with DD gone. Instead Arthur Weasley is surprisingly voted in!

Mo: Hehe. Good one! I never thought about the MoM position... But
it would be kind of sweet revenge if Arthur Weasly got to be MoM.

>
> #10: In the annual end-of-term showdown with LV, Harry comes face
to face with Snape (being the spy of course), whom he must trust in
order to escape. Harry's Occlumency skills will come in handy here
too, so as not to reveal Snape's true loyalty.

Mo: I really like that prediction! I think that is my favorite so
far.

6! Sorry if they've come up before, I haven't had a chance to read
all the posts. So what do you think? Any other ideas?

Mo:

Cool post! If I could add a few predictions...

1. I think House Elves are going to play a bigger part. My question
is the ancient magic. DD knows a lot about ancient magic and he
perhaps knows more than what the other wizards know about the ancient
magic surrounding House Elves. Maybe they will join the allegance
for the Order. I think this is why DD is always telling them to
treat the HE nicely and doesn't shun Hermione for wanting to free
them. (Even though I think her methods are not the best planed)

2. I think Lupin will play a bigger role, especially when it comes
to guiding Harry. I think he will step in as sort of a psudo-
guardian/mentor.

3. As for book 7, I think LV is going to cause his own destruction.
Lets look at what the prophecy says "None can LIVE while the other
SURVIVES."
It doesn't say, 'None can live while the other lives.' Obviously,
BOTH are LIVING right now. So, I think there is something more in
that prophecy.
Even though it says something to the effect "either must perish at
the hand of the other" (I don't have my book in front of me) It
doesn't directly say, one must KILL the other. I take this to mean
LV is going to find his final downfall with "the Power he knows not"
that HP possesses.

I also believe that there might be a second part to the prophecy and
we will be hearing more from Prof. Trelawney. I think that is why DD
is so keen to keep her on as staff.

~Mo adding her two knuts worth.
