Neil:

Has anyone else's opinion of Molly Weasley changed? In the first three books
I really liked Molly. Sure, she was on the tough side, bossing the kids and
Arthur around, but her good heart and fondness for Harry outweighed that.

My opinion started to change in GoF and by the end of OotP, I no longer liked
the woman. Now the love and kindness she showed seems to be far out weighed
by her controling attitude.

She is bossy, pushy and just plan iritating. She thinks she is always right
and feels everyone should bow to her will. She is not happy just bossing
Arthur and the kids around anymore. Now she feels, Harry, Hermione, even Sirius
and the other members of the order should do as she says.

Does anyone else feel like telling her to shut her mouth or is it just me?

SB4E:

First, let me apologize if my original message shows up, but it seems as though
LV is intercepting emails...that or it got lost in cyber space....So I am going
to try this again...

You are not alone...I too liked Molly when she was first introduced...she was
funny and kind and caring, but you're right, she has changed over time. She
has become more pushy and downright bossy. It's bad enough that she wants to
boss her own family, even the adult members, but she needs to leave the other
characters: Hermione, Harry, and most especially the adults out of it.

She was mean to Hermione, knowing that Rita Skeeter wrote things to cause
trouble in GoF. And she got increasingly vicious in OOTP...what right did she
have shoving it down Sirius' throat that he had not *been there* for Harry
because he was in Azkaban. Sirius had been doing his best, regardless of how
his actions seemed...he was keeping in close contact with DD...to help Harry &
be there for him, while Molly just wanted to tell Harry what was good for him &
treat him like a baby. The biggest problem right now is that certain
characters...DD...has decided that Harry shouldn't know what is going on and
Molly was carrying this to the extreme, even though Lupin, Sirius, and even
Arthur thought that Harry needed some information... I loved the boggart
scene...that'll teach her...the old bat...She loves her family, of that I have
no doubt, but she is going too far & is actually going to end up alienating
them & if something were to happen, she wouldn't be able to cope...knowing that
she has pushed them to their limits, even if it was based on good
intentions....remember the saying...the road to hell is paved with good
intentions...

Anyway, Neil, you'd better be wearing your bullet-proof vest, (I am)because the
Molly lovers will come at you with both barrels blazing...I know...I've brought
this up in other places & some got very angry over it...
