This is an intriguing point. With Sirius ALIVE it's possible that
Harry as Godson gained some administrative control over Sirius's
account. I speculate that that could be possible even if Harry, as
Godson, had no right of inheritance.

If Sirius had indeed been dead rather than in prision, the estate
would have been distributed using Wills and standard British Right of
Inheritance. Pervious analysis of this issue had assumed that Draco
would be the only existing first born maleof Black decendancy, and
would therefore, have the right of inheritance. 

However, Sirius is still alive, and the connection between himself and
Harry still exists. So as a techinical member of the Black household,
Harry would have some right to carry on the administration of that
household on Sirius's behalf.

Would be interested in whether any Britophiles could confirm whether
any precdenece exists for such a non-death administrative arrangement?
