Or would Gringotts be like a Swiss bank? I believe there's still an 
account waiting for any  descendants of the Russian royal 
family.:-) And it's only been recently that anyone has managed to 
get them to hand over money stashed by Nazis. So maybe they 
just can't take the money from a living Sirius, even if he's in 
prison? It should be interesting to see what happens to the 
money now he's dead ... maybe he spent the lot buying Harry the 
Firebolt! (g)
