Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Sirius have the "Mundungus like 
stench of stale drink around him" when Harry and the Weasleys had to 
go to 12 Grimmauld Place after Arthur was bitten by the snake.

Looks like you wouldn't be the only one driven to drink in that 
situation.......lord knows I'd be hittin' the bottle.
