Had I been Sirius, I'd have first ordered Kreacher to "stay in the cellar
and do not interfere, in any way, with the people who are going to be here"
and then handed D'dore the keys, said "Happy house-cleaning!" and gone off
somewhere warm and tropical.  Having to stay in that house of horrors, month
after month, with Kreacher leering and making snide comments "under his
breath,"and that awful portrait screaming, would have driven me straight
'round the bend, or into the nearest bottle of firewhiskey.

My "Melanie" reply:

 

I see what you are saying about Kreacher and I agree that would of made life so much easier and who knows why he didn't just say "bye bye Kreacher."

My theory is simple as to why he stayed at Grimmauld Place though, he felt like he could be a part of the order and more importantly he could stay informed about the one thing that was so important to him, his "son" Harry Potter.  

I mean Sirius did have more contact with his godson this year than in the previous books.  And what makes it even harder for me to accept is I truly believe that Harry would have been safe had he just stayed with his godfather.  LIke he was getting anything out of school anywho.  Oh well just my thoughts for the night.
