My guess is the same as yours, Snape did at least suspect that the
map used to belong to MWPP, maybe not because of the nicknames but
because of the insults the map threw at him - reminded him of
insults in his Hogwarts years?
vmonte responds:
Snape knows all of their nicknames! In Snape's penseive memories
James and gang are all calling each other by their nicknames...
Kathy's thought's
I dont think that Snape heard what Harry did and therefore does not know
the nicknames.
It must depend on your conception of the penceive. I feel that the person
entering the memory can explore beyond the boundaries of its originator.
Harry felt that he may not be able to follow his dad and friends if Snape
chose a different coarse. Harry felt as though as long as he kept Snape
insight he would be able to hear what went on with his dad. This didnt
actually mean (to me) that Snape heard everything that Harry heard, only
those parts which contained Snapes physical self-being in actual ear range.
Snape didnt appear to be alarmed by anything that was said until it was
directed to him. Snape appeared to be going on with what he was doing not
paying a bit of attention to the Fab. Four.
I defiantly could be wrong, but that is how I always foresaw the penceives
propertys.
