Help with Lupin's boggart

Ah, I have stared at this post and run the thinker down. I apologize
if my response seemed flip-I had thought you were looking for canon
as well as discussion. Thanks to Pippin for the thread number!
Now, on to the theory. Let's see. If we consider an orb to be the
future, then Lupin considers the future to be the most frightening
thing he faces. In his shoes, so would I. If he makes the future
less frightening by turning it into a cockroach, then what does a
cockroach represent? Perhaps the mundane present? Something easily
defeated by squashing it?
Another possibility is that he knows about Harry's prophecy, and that
it is Harry's future that he finds frightening. That would connect
it with the misty figures. At least they are in the same room.
I must admit I am at a loss to explain the cockroaches over Harry's
head. I realize you are still in the thinking stage, but if you gel
this out, I'd love to hear it. Even connecting the 2 cockroach
references would be interesting.
