Interesting. When I read this quote, I thought that Trelawney was ...
well, being Trelaney. I also was not surprised that she does not know
this information. After all, it is not like all wisarding world knows
Harry's birthday.
But you definitely may be on to something. We know that she made
couple of correct predictions, so she is not a total fraud.
Dumbledore lying again? Very possible. I do believe that Neville will
play a role in the end. Does Dumbledore thinks that Neville is truly
chosen one? I will not put it behind him.
Although I think that JKR intends for Harry to be the hero and even
if Dumbledore believes that Neville is the one, the final showdown
will be a big surprise for him.
