Well, in all fairness, at the grocery store today there was a little
boy who was severely mentally retarded.   He was about 6 yrs 
old and he was happy as can be with his red lollipop.   I only 
noticed him when he dropped it and became quite upset.   His
Mom promptly pulled out another one from her purse and gave 
it to him.    He quieted right up.     Maybe Ms. Longbottom just
likes gum ?

Speaking of giving her son something....hmm, maybe this
is a way for her to maintain a maternal connection ?    I 
wonder if there's a similar charm placed on Neville as the
one placed on Harry by Lily ?     Maybe because there were
2 possible fullfillers of the prophecy, DD had some sort of
charm placed on both of them.    I'm rambling but I wonder...

Yes, I can see that.   However insignificant it seems to us, 
to Neville, it's all he has from her.
