Actually, I agree. Nick can't simply change his mind. Somehow he has
to resolve whatever it is in his life or his history that makes him
fear death so. The same with people who hare held back by trama, or
other unfinished business; that must all be resolved before they can
move on.

At least, the concensus so far, small as it is, allows for the
possibility of moving on.

Really... Nick? If I could arrange for one tortured soul to move on,
it would certainly be poor heatbroken tortured lonely Moping Myrtle.
Really, this is one character who breaks my heart. The thought of poor
Myrtle tortured for eternity by the misery heaped upon her by
insensitive cruel uncaring classmates really hurts, partly because,
for brief periods in my life, I have felt those same feelings for the
very same reason.

If we are going to vote, then I vote for Myrtle.

Just a thought.
