Sirius, James and Snape - A History?

I've often thought that Sirius and Severus might be closely related.  
They look alike and act alike in many ways.  But I don't think JKR 
will have an illicit relationship going in this series. 

There is also a line in OoP, which of course I can't get right now, 
where Serius states, "This is my house." It seemed to imply, "not 
yours." as if Snape might have a claim to it.
