In canon, Harry is (presumably) alone by the lake-side (though it
is never stated that he was certainly alone, simply no one else
is mentioned as being percieved), Hermione being in Hagrids hut.
There has, however, been some evidence to the contrary - one of
the things that JKR has "hidden" inside the books that she cannot
avoid displaying, not matter how subtley, in the films

I apoligize because I know this is bordering very dangerously on
movie contamination, but it is tied in so closley with the canon
and predicting what will happen therin that I really couldn't
help myself!<<<

which seem to indicate someone else was there? (Yes, I saw a
person [I assumed it was Sirius] in the movie trailer, but I didn't
figure that meant anything other than an indication of who Harry was
protecting when he cast expecto patronum.) I don't recall anything
in canon which suggests another person was there. Please share!<<

Siriusly Snapey Susan:
Now I think I need to clarify. It really isn't my idea that Sirius
**is there** with Harry. At least NOT in the book! All I meant was
that the person in the trailer looked like Gary Oldman [Sirius] to
me, and that if it was he, I assumed it was just a symbolic presence
for purposes of the trailer, establishing what Harry was doing
[sending forth a patronus to protect Sirius]. I actually *don't*
think anyone else was there at that moment.
