Bonny again:
Sorry I guess I didn't make myself clear (too nervous about basing to
much on the trailer I suppose).I wouldn't even mention this subject
at all except that I know there are forshadowing hints in the films
that are very related to canon to come, or canon as is, and that is
why I thought this post deserved a place here.
What I meant by saying it was HIDDEN in the books is that we don't
know it's there. There is no evidence in canon that Harry was not
alone - but there is also none to the contrary. One thing that
doesn't make sense either way is that in canon, HArry had been
looking out for someone to come and cast the patronus before
realizing that he had done it himself, and you would think he would
have noticed this figure.
However, as to your idea that it was Sirius, I don't think that can
be possible, because Harry was facing himself, Sirius and Hermione
across the lake. He could see them all from where he stood. So, if
he, Hermione, Sirius, Ron, Lupin and Snape (all the people we know
are running about the grounds) are all accounted for, who could it
be, and why wouldn't they come forward to help?
Hope I clarified my meaning...
Bonny
