Lilian:
In answer to Jetamors - Voldemort did not absorb Harry's blood
protection but the sacrifice protection. The latter comes from Lily's
sacrifice and remained in force until Voldemort had Harry's blood in
his veins - the pact of sacrifice (that's what I call it) now
recognizes him as the protected.

For the other issues - Harry's blood protection is what Petunia gives
him - a home. The only way for Voldemort to absorb that as well, is
to let Petunia give him that home as well.

But if Harry cannot call Privet Drive home anymore (hence the annual
return) one of the conditions of the pact of blood protection,
the 'providing a home', is no longer met and the pact itself becomes
invalid. Although I have a strong suspicion that the ancient magic
connected will rebound on Petunia ... it is IMO what she is so afraid
of.

Either way, Harry will lose his protection. But the means to arrive
at that result are different. What path will Voldemort choose?

Lilian, grinning at the thought of Harry's coming 'home' to find
Voldemort having tea with the Dursleys and playing 'Warriors of Might
and Magic' with Dudley.
