Well, I also don't buy ESE! Lupin (Sorry, Pippin!) But
I also have to
admit that Lupin's deathgrip on Harry bothers me. The
reason I find
this scene to be suspicious is that Lupin was waaay
too calm for
someone who just lost his oldest friend.

If Sirius is really and sincerely dead though, then
Lupin reaction
bothers me.

I am not surprised at Lupin's reaction at all. He is
in the OoP. He knows what kinds of dangers lie ahead
for him and the rest of the WW. He has had friends
die before as a result of LV's rein.
He knew immediately what happened when Sirius fell
into the veil. He probably knew a second before it
happened. His first instinct, as a man, was to remain
strong and stop Harry from going into the veil after
him. He didn't want anyone else to die that night.
Also, you didn't see any of the other order members
breaking down there, and crying. In fact, I am sure
that Lupin probably went back to wherever he was
staying, and when he finally had the time and the
solace to gather his thoughts together, he probably
broke down and wept.
Men react like that. I remember when my great grandma
died, (my dad's grandma) whom he was really close to.
He didn't cry at the funeral, but he cried when we
finally got home two days later. It's just the way
men tend to handle things. It's not wrong, it's just
their way.
~Mo, who will never believe Lupin is evil!

so many people can think her favorite HP character
could have an ounce of evil intent!*
