Nice post. A fresh conspiracy to consider.
It's possible that there might be a clue in there.
Damned if I can remember where, but I'm sure there's a throw-away
line somewhere mentioning a named individual who breeds fancy
hippogriffs. Can't find it in the Lexicon, but I'm certain I've seen
it somewhere.
If they could be identified then they would have to be investigated
before they could be eliminated from your enquiries.
