Not necessarily. 

(1)  Being only 15 months old at the time, baby Harry might well have 
not understood what had happened to Lily.

(2) Harry didn't see Cedric die. The pain in his scar was so intense 
that he had closed his eyes. He /heard/ the curse and the body 
fall.......
