It shows how loyal and good friends Sirius and James were to Remus. Instead
of shunning him when he was a werewolf, they joined him and kept him company.
They stayed safe and Remus had company in the worst part of his life. He takes
the blame for them to decide to do this, but he forgets about choice. Sirius,
James and Peter, all chose to be animagi, just as Snape chose to be a DE, and
then to leave.
