I hope that Ron does become Gryffindor Quiddich team captain, Head
Boy, and Head of the Wizengamot. I hope he proves himself first,
though.
I disagree that he is developing at all, although I think there is a
good possibility that he will in the pages to come. Right now, I
think he is just there as a reactionary character for Harry and
Hermione's actions and thoughts. Reactive, not proactive, if you
will. I don't think he has the talent on the quiddich field, nor
does he exude the confidence and leadership skills necessary to be
team captain, or even a prefect, much less Head Boy. Do the other
students respect his authority? Will they now that Fred and George
are gone? Will he become the leader that I hope is inside of him,
now that his brothers are gone? Or will Percy's example as a
humongous bighead be too much to overcome? He doesn't excel in any
of his subjects, other than fake-guessing some things that come true
in the future. What are his grades in Divination? He makes a lot
of joke predictions that don't come true: Is it he or Harry that
are
killed twice in one week in their homework assignment? I'll believe
this "joking prophet" bit when Arthur becomes MoM.
Can someone refresh my memory as to the predictions Ron has
inadvertently made that came true?
celletiger, who is feeling guilty for being so argumentative about
this subject
