Well, this is the topic of jokes from time to time, but I really 
think it's assumed we know the kids are bathing.  Chose any other 
novel and see how often taking a bath becomes part of the plot.

What gets me is whether they wear muggle type clothing under the 
robes (as in the movies) or whether the robes are their clothes.(as 
in the pensieve scene.)
