Where do teachers live?

type clothing under the  robes (as in the movies) or whether the robes
are their clothes.(as  in the Pensieve scene.)"

The Muggle-borns wear Muggle clothes under the robes almost for sure,
and the wizard borns often don't, is my guess.  I think that it's
little things like this and big things too that offend the
"purebloods" as they watch Muggle culture influence wizard culture. 
The example I've used before is something like Dean Thomas bringing
his football to school and kicking it around the grounds – other
students get curious – and next thing you know he's teaching football
(soccer to me).
