As long as we are stretching things...

Imagine, if Lily brought home a young gentleman for a holiday and there are 
two sisters of similar age in the house hold, there may be some rivalry between 
the two of them for the attentions of the boy.  Even if the other sister is a 
muggle.

If he has a diabolical streak I can just see him playing the two girls 
against each other and then just dropping Petunia when it is time to leave.
