I can understand that, but you see, the thing that really bothers me
in OoP is that Harry *does* get over that mistrust with Petunia, but
*not* with Sirius barely a few days later ! I would have expected
the opposite, that he would ask questions of people he trusts and
not bother asking questions of people he's known forever he can't
get answers from. But this reverse way really bothers me. He goes
straight against what's been ingrained in him during his whole
childhood and asks questions to Petunia, repeatedly, over several
days, and even though he doesn't get any answers, but he doesn't ask
any question to someone he's trusted for 2 years and who's made it
crystal clear just a few days earlier that he was ready to answer
*any* question, even if DD said no. How logical is that ?
Del, who does get your point, but is still bothered :-)<
I do understand that it doesn't make any sense, that he wouldn't ask Sirius
though he knows that he can trust Sirius, but Harry has 12 years of unlearning
to do. He acts the way that Petunia wants him to with Sirius, but does his
best to bother Petunia and Vernon. That is human nature.
