I fully agree.

I also think that the Trio's relationships will play a huge part in
the series. After all, how may people do you know who met the
person they were going to marry in school? In canon, we have Arthur
& Molly Weasley - but just because they dated at Hogwarts doesn't
necessarily mean they *knew* they were going to marry once they'd
graduated (unless we get some canon evidence that they were engaged
during 7th year or something).

Look at Percy Weasley - he dated Penelope Clearwater in his 7th
year, but there's not mention of her in books 4 or 5, so it may be
safe to assume that, once school was over, their relationship didn't
continue.

Even if JKR have, for example, Harry & Hermione in a steady
relationship at the end of book 7, that doesn't necessarily mean
that they're going to later marry and have twelve children (before
Harry becomes Minister of Magic, I'd assume, if Trelawney's
prediction is correct!). It's possible that after a year of post-
Hogwarts dating, Harry & Hermione could decide that they don't have
that much in common now that they're out of school and decide to
remain friends instead.

All in all, I sincerely doubt that JKR will have any member of the
Trio (or Neville, Luna, or Ginny) declare their undying love to
another character during books 6 and/or 7. They're still teenagers,
and not many teenagers know at age 17 whom they wish to marry.

Just my two Knuts. :)
