I think that one of the things that is becoming more and more
prevelent is that this is going to be a war fought and won by mostly
the youth. (I am
> including Fred and George in this too..and perhaps the other
Weasley brothers). What the order needs to realize is that they
must start empowering their young people. In the end it's going to
be the students who are going to save the day. That is the way I
see it anyway.

Luckie:
Fought by youth? Kind of like the last war?
Most of the DEs we know were pretty young in the last war. Lucius is
about 6 years older than the marauders, Bellatrix appears to be
about Sirius's age. MacNair works for the ministry and is probably
middle-aged, though we aren't sure. Peter and Snape were the same
age as James. Regulus was younger than Sirius. Crabbe and Goyle have
children the same age as Draco and Harry, as does Nott. Then look at
the original order: Lily, James, Sirius, Peter again, Lupin, Snape
at some point, and Frank and Alice Longbottom, who may be a few
years older than the marauders.
Yes, we seem to agree the second war (which has already begun) will
culminate in Harry's 7th year, when he is about 17, but it's
interesting that during the first war JKR decided to make his
parents so young. Lily and James were about 21 when they died? They
easily could have been 31 and still have a child as young as Harry.
And Voldemort was rising to power while they were still at Hogwarts.
Plus, Harry, a baby, defeated Voldemort the first time. Obviously,
there's something going on here with youth.
