JimLaming: I am looking for posts relating to Dumbledore's Army (DA) and am
feeling the frustration of this search engine.
Help! I am wondering about the return of the DA in book 6 or 7.
Will Harry continue to lead it? Will he be up to it? Is there
anyone else who could? Will DD approve?
I hope it returns and that Harry leads it. The sorting hat in OOP
challenged the school to find unity. The DA had that kind of
unifying power. DD would be well served to encourage it and help
shape it.

My reply: I wrote a long time about ago about this but one of the things that scares me about Molly Weasley is that she wants to inhibit her children. I understand she wants to keep them young, and safe but the truth is her children aren't safe. None of them are safe really, and they were especially unsafe with Umbridge in charge. As much as people say about Sirius, he had one of my favorite lines in the entire series. "Well, better expelled and able to defend yourselves than sitting safely in school without a clue," (OOP 371, US edition). This is true, I mean in all honesty how much do they really learn at taht school, especially in Defense against Dark Arts? Not a lot really. One could argue that they have all had just one great teacher and that was Lupin, even Harry is just teaching what he learned from Lupin on his own time. I think that one of the things that is becoming more and more prevelent is that this is going to be a war fought and won by mostly the youth. (I am
including Fred and George in this too..and perhaps the other Weasley brothers). What the order needs to realize is that they must start empowering their young people. In the end it's going to be the students who are going to save the day. That is the way I see it anyway.
