Not a stupid question at all, in fact, you've hit the nail right on
the head.
Ask yourself, how many Slytherins DO we know, and how many many more
Slytherins are there that we know virtually nothing about, and why
don't we know anything about them.
In Magical Creatures class when they are first introduced to the
Thestrals, there is a Slytherin boy who can see the Thestral, but more
importantly, Harry doesn't know his name.
That boy has been in CoMC class with Harry for 5 years, yet Harry
doesn't know his name. Certainly, if this person had ever given Harry
any grief, Harry would know who he was. The fact that Harry doesn't
know this guy, pretty much indicated that this mystery Slytherin has
keep his head down, minded his own business, and stayed out of trouble
for the last five years.
So who are the 'Good Slytherins', they are among the ranks of those
students who have not followed Draco's lead, and have not given Harry
any grief in the last five years, and these students are therefore off
Harry's radar screen and by extension, off our radar screens. Harry
never thinks about them or gets to know them because they never
interact with him.
If you seach the group (yes, I know, not a pleasant task) for 'Good
Slytherin', you will come up with several good long discussions about
where the good Slytherin(s) will come from, why we will suddenly see
them, and who they might actually be. The most likely candidates are
Blaise Zabini, who was introduce in the first book and never heard
from again, and Theodore Nott, whose father is one of the Death Eaters
captured at the Ministry of Magic - Dept. of Mysteries in the last book.
Just a few thoughts.
