My only problem with them [Arthur/Molly] being between 65 and 73 in
1995 is that would put them at 51 to 59 when Ginny was born and
between 50 and 58 when Ron arrived.

That could be reasonable for Arthur but, unless there are different
biological "clocks" for witches, it's extremely late for someone to
carry two children within a year or so of each other.

Arya now:
I think that *is* a reasonable thing to assume, actually. Since we
know McG is still considered 'sprightly' at 70-ish, Dumbledore is 150-
ish and can still kick some Volde-arse and Professor Marchbanks is
old enough to have examined Dumbledore in Charms and Transfiguration
herself, then I think it's very safe to say magical people are on a
very different biological scale. They live longer; why not assume,
like us muggles, that they can reproduce for up to about half their
life expectency? I'd accept it.

The thing that, in light of the age-expectancy of a wizard/witch,
seems weird to me, is why would Lily and James get married and have a
kid so early in life? I mean, they would have been about 20-23 when
Harry was born--that's seems a bit young to me when you live to be
150+. Then again, maybe I'm just assuming they PLANNED to get
married and get pregnant... Harry did wonder why his mum ever
married his dad? Maybe she got knocked up after a drunken night of
Firewhiskey? Nah, nevermind, Sirius and Remus tell us in the
conversation by Floo that James and Lily started dating in 7th year.
Nevermind. There goes my Marriage of Necessity Theory. <g>
