Well, other's have already weighed in on this, and I agree with them.
Although, I have weighed in with that opinion many time in many long
threads in the past.
I estimate that the potential wizard lifespan is about 250. Remember
that's 'potential lifespan' which is far different from average
lifespan. Normal people living in modern countries have an AVERAGE
lifespan of about 75, but that means there are just as many people who
die older than 75 as there are who die younger than 75. So there are
lots of people over 75.
In addition, in many counties in the world, there are people over 100
years old. Although, very very few if any ever make it to 120. Given
the descriptions of McGonagall and Dumbledore, I concluse a wizard's
average and potential lifespan that is double that of muggles (150
avg, 240 max).
Given that level of vitality and regenerative capability, it is
reasonable to speculate that a womans reproductive years are also
proportionally longer. So, for muggles that's rough age 40 to 50,
making a witch's reproductive years stretching to 80 to 100 years old.
That means it's not too late for McGonagall to start raising a family.
McGonagall, Dumbledore, and little Albus Jr.; isn't that sweet.
