Bookworm:

said that Katie had been on the 'reserve' team the
year before, so she was new to the 'varsity' team the
same year Harry was.  That's the only mention of the
reserve team I remember, so what exactly that means is
unclear.


Flop:
Um... the only mention I can find of the reserve team
is in Lee Jordan's commentary on the first Quidditch
match, and it was ALICIA, not Katie, who was a reserve
the previous year. (SS 186)

Now, I'm only skimming at this point, looking for
specific references, but I havent' been able to find
any evidence that Katie was on the team the year
before Harry joined.
