I'm sorry, I don't know who originally posted the above as I've been attempting to stay out of this thread so I've cut it from someone else's thread and I don't know who said it.

Something that has bothered me since the early pages of OotP is why did Wormtail not tell LV/DEs about Sirius until 'now'?  He knew Sirius and James were both Animagi during the first war, when he was spying for LV.  Why did he not tell him then?  All the DEs would have known and been on the lookout, could have informed the Dementors in Azkaban (those who were there...Bella and friends).  It certainly wasn't out of loyalty that Wormy kept his yap shut.
