Actually, your theory gives new light to Tonks' words to Lupin, "You'd go by
your last name too if your mother named you Nymphadora." Sorry, that's
paraphrased. If Tonks is indeed a man, then those words make even more
sense, don't they? It's not really canon evidence, but it's something.
