Bookworm:
A purrfectly good connection. The only issue I see with it is that
Harry has spent a lot of time at Mrs. Figg's house when the Dursleys
wanted to get rid of him for a while. Wouldn't he have noticed some
overlooked item, or indication that a man either lived at the house
or spent a lot of time there? To completely sanitize the house
everytime Harry was there would take a lot of effort.

(What a riot -- purrfectly -- hope Perkins isn't allergic!)

I dunno, Bookworm. I don't think 12-13 year old boys notice things
like that, do they? I mean, I am sure Mrs. Figg wouldn't have left
Mr. Perkins' trousers or something on the living room rug, but I
imagine there could have been some "manly" things around that Harry
just assumed belonged to the dear, departed MR. Figg.

By the way, while we are on the subject of Mr. Perkins, did the books
mention somewhere that he is a warlock? In the passages I quoted in
my post he is referred to as a "wizard," but it seems I remember
somewhere that he was called a warlock. Does anyone else have a
better memory than I have?

Thanks,
Bohcoo
